The results of Madhyamik and Higher Secondary (HS+2), Madrassa Fazil Arts and Theology examination runs by Tripura Board of secondary Education (TBSE) declared on Friday, which has registered pass percentage of 84.18 % and 79.33 % respectively.

The pass percentage in Madhyamik was recorded at 86.53 %, in 2025 and for Higher Secondary (+2) pass percentage recorded at 79.29 % in 2025.

As announced earlier, TBSE’s president Dr Dhananjoy Gon Choudhury accompanied by secretary and other authorities addressing a press conference on Friday noon gave details of the abstract of the both examinations. Dr Gon Choudhury said that this year they had to publish the results of both examinations about a week late due to the election process of TTAADC as a large section of teachers engaged in evolution of exam papers were engaged in poll related duties.

Altogether, 32,184 candidates appeared in the Madhyamik examinations with 8.47 above percentage of enrolment in in comparison to candidates appeared in 2025, said Dr Gon Chaudhury and added that a total of 26,502 candidates appeared in the HS examinations and 9.28 above percentage of enrolment in comparison to last year.

He said that the board had completed its evaluation of answer scripts by April endt and the board had successfully completed the evaluation process within a short period and published the results on May8.

Among the total appeared candidates (32,184) in the Madhyamik examinations, altogether 27,094 candidates secured pass marks, which recorded the pass percentage of 84.18 % and in the HS examination, out of total appeared candidates 26,502 altogether 21,024 candidates secured pass marks and recorded pass percentage of 79.33%

In both Madhyamik and HS (+2) examinations there were more girl candidates than boy candidates with female and male ratio of 1179:1000 for Madhyamik and 1152:1000 for Higher Secondary, said Dr Gon Choudhury.

This year 271 schools across eight districts got cent percent pass marks in Madhyamik and 60 more schools in Higher Secondary examinations and in the HS examinations, 5 schools have also recovered zero percent pass. Among all eight districts and 23 subdivisions, Karbook subdivision secured the highest pass percentage with 97.91 % and lowest pass percentage recorded by students of Longtharai Valley subdivision with a pass percentage of 67.70 % in Madhyamik examinations.

Like previous years, this year also the students of Sepahijala Tripura district secured the highest pass percentage of 84.59 % in HS examinations and lowest pass percentage of 66.40 % obtained by the students of Dhalai district.

Speaking at a press meet, the Board secretary said that mark sheets for both examinations will be distributed in all schools within next one week and candidates who want to review their results, will have to submit the application on May 11th to 13th next in their respective schools.
